JUST DUIT!

Hello there! This summer, our family decided to go back to my father's hometown. It has been 16 years since we last visited Duit, Kiangan. Here is a shot of our travel. :-)

If you were wondering how to get there, I'd give a little run through of our short trip. We left on a Saturday night. We took a bus ride from the operator OHAYAMI at around 8:30 PM in its Sampaloc, Manila Station bound for Lagawe. Please get a ticket before hand or you might want to be a chance passenger who will be seated in the middle aisle.

There will be several bus stops along the trip. My family quite enjoy them. :-) You will arrive in Lagawe at around 8 or 9 the next morning. From there, you can ride a motorcycle bound for Duit!

I've met my grandfather and conversed with him for the first time in my adult life. I get to see my grandmother every once in a while as she travels back and forth Mindanao when we invite her for a special occasion.

There was not really much of a scenery to see but my father's family and it was more than enough. I like the province simple life.

From there we took a jeepney ride to Banawe which will a subject of another post. You might be interested on that.

In sum, I had a great weekend. Take note, we left by Saturday night and arrived by Sunday. My brother and I took another bus back to Manila that Sunday night just to go back to work and school by Monday! Hahaha! What a sleepless yet fun adventure.

I got to work just on time.

Looking back, I missed my family so much. Travelling with them has become a luxury due to busy schedules but I'm glad we went there. It was initially unplanned.

P.S.: The OHAYAMI bus ride was good!
