CHOCO HILLS.

I was in Bohol! I wanted to dedicate a brief post about the experience I had with my peers at the Political Science program of UP in a course subject Philippine Foreign Policy.

We came up with a documentary about the local government of Maribojoc, Bohol, Philippines. The LGU had garnered lots of recognition for good governance in the country and several people organizations in partnership with foreign entities. Unfortunately, sharing it would violate my groupmates' intellectual property rights. All the basic details though can be read at http://www.maribojoc.gov.ph/! :)

Here's a picture I took of the famous chocolate hills. I have always wondered whether it would look like the Hundred Islands in Pangasinan when filled with water. The scenery was just breath taking!

We've been through a lot of places within just a day in Bohol. Apart from visiting people's organizations and the courtesy call with the mayor, we experienced Bohol's shore as we tried the dragon boat ride (The activity was so exciting - going against the waves and confronting the fear of the sea floor's depth. I believe it contributed as a team-building venture for the group. Hah!), visited old churches and mini-zoos, and witnessed a cultural show highlighting the place's history. To top all that, I think the most memorable experience was being in the firefly tour!

This educational trip could not have been possible without our teacher, Miss M. C. J., and we're really thankful to be a part of her class! With the diverse personalities each of us have, it is difficult to imagine how the trip would not have been awesome. Learning is indeed fun inside or outside our assigned four walled room for lectures. ^^,
