DAHILAYAN.

Our family has always looked forward for vacations. My parents are somehow always busy with work and we, the children, are almost always busy with school as well. We find long weekends due to holidays especially during school break as blessings - family time!

It was about holy week when the family planned to go visit Dahilayan Forest Park.

Because we didn't know the place, we didn't take any shortcut. We chose the long road found in the middle of this pineapple farm. It wasn't that bad though. The unending pineapple cite and the silence were simply refreshing to the soul. The cool fresh breeze reminded me of Baguio.

I figured this dish belongs to my list of favorite ones. Yes, sinigang na hipon! It's sour but in a good way. Fortunately, it was available inside the lounge at Dahilayan. My tummy couldn't be happier.

I have actually mistaken these trees as pine trees. A Facebook contact corrected me. She said they just look like pine trees but they aren't. I was thankful for that information. Now, I know. Hah! I love being under trees. Trees calm me. I'm missing Baguio more which is quite saddening. I have often dreamed of spending time with my father's side of the family there. It has been awhile since the last time we did.

Our youngest and I tried the zip-line. The rush of the wind against my cheeks is probably one of the most beautiful feelings I have ever experienced in my life. It was the closest chance I got to flying! I wish E was with me. I hope we could have trips like this with each one's family or even our own in the future. Hah!

Dahilayan Forest Park is a great place to bring the family for leisure or adventures and the like! It definitely has lots to offer. You could check their Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Dahilayan-Forest-Park/ if you are planning to visit the place yourself. :-)

Bukidnon, Philippines is such a lovely place to be. Its pineapples are the sweetest. We brought a sack of those when we went home. You may want to try some!
